I'm creating a new journal!: spirilleye.
I do this partially because I believe that possibly with new name and a clean slate I can actually write MEANINGFUL ENTRIES for once, go to another level of thinking, and maybe actually LEARN something from using a blog in the first place. I expect this journal to be much more personal and less of a communication tool as I believe this one was.
Also to explain the "partially" in that introduction sentance, i'm also getting a new name because of the fact that "chemical_halo" has rather unsettling connection to my past, my goth stage (exhibit "A", a sample of the song Chemical Halo from the band Chemlab from which my screename was derived from), which i'd just rather forget both musically and especially emotinally, it's hard being goth!
So, add me please. KTHNX

I'm taking this journal in a new direction. Mostly because of the fact that I hardly use this for any personal reasons, aside for the occasional eBay, thriftstore, garage sale, etc. find and the even less occuring little splurts of pure emo that only I can somewhat understand.
I'm getting bored with the lack of interesting entries I have.
So from now on, expect a sudden increase of images and links, more of my ramblings on current affairs/music/pop culture, etc. Expect plenty of personal annecdotes and the like, maybe even some reviews. I really don't know yet, I just want something different.
Also, I hope no one belives i'm actually tailoring this journal just so others will read it. EVERYTHING written here will be something i'm interested in and will most likely bore quite a few people. It doesn't mattter much to me what others think. I just want to create a journal that I would enjoy reading :P

"The nafs is a sea of calm deception until it roars. The nafs is a Hell that radiates little heat. The nafs is an ankle-deep river you drown in. Better to be ignorant of worldly concerns, better to be mad and to flee from self-interest, better to drink poison and spill the water of life, better to revile those who praise you, and lend both the capital and the interest to the poor, forgo safety and make a home in danger. Sacrifice your reputation and become notorious. I have tried caution and forethought; from now on I will make myself mad." - Rumi, Mathnawi II:2290-2291, 2305, 2328-2332

Ok, so tonight is going to be totally emo. I have tons of homework which I don't plan on doing, ice cream in the fridge, a Lightning Bolt DVD to watch, and a whole stack of zines. I'm going to party like I don't have school tommorow.
Ole!
